REALbasic 2009 Release 1 Now Available!
REALbasic 2009 Release 1 shipped on Tuesday, March 3rd and includes 26 new features and 100 improvements. This release includes a Quickstart window to help new users get started more quickly. You can copy all menu handlers, methods, constants and properties by selecting the code group heading and dragging while holding down the copy key. The font size in the Language Reference window can now be increased and decreased and importing a picture into a project now includes the mask (if there is one), as well as much, much more.
This release is many user's favorite release. Here's what they are saying:
"We are switching from RB2007r4 to RB2009r1. We are very cautious about upgrading (we have a lot of legacy code). We've tested every single alpha and beta in 10 years but in the end only ended up committing to these Mac versions: RB 2.1, RB 4.5.3, RB 5.5, RB 2007r4 and now, RB2009r1."
- Dr. Gerard Hammond, MacSOS Solutions
"We need to use a very stable release of REALbasic in order to keep the focus on our own tests and debug sessions before shipping a new version of 8sens. We have been able to move our projects from 2007r5 to 2009r1 quickly and smoothly. REALbasic 2009r1 helped us to save time, focusing on setting up our product at client places and fixing our own product bugs."
- Marc Couraud, 8sens
"RB 2009 R1 is the best release I've experienced yet. I'm personally glad to see REAL Software focusing more on product stability."
- Kelsey McClanahan
"The latest release works great for me. I have rebuilt all of my applications without problems. I appreciate the work to correct errors before stuffing in a lot of new functionality. I have several ongoing projects and I rely entirely on RB."
- Johan, Precis AB
