REAL Studio is Coming
Last month we announced the availability of a new edition of REALbasic, REAL Studio. REAL Studio will be available once Release 2 ships on April 14th. REAL Studio will provide features most needed by full-time developers, including:
- A license key that can be installed on any number of computers or operating systems to make development and testing easier
- The Profiler for optimizing code performance
- IDE Scripting for build automation
- A REAL Server unlimited connections license
- Priority technical support
REAL Studio will be priced at $1495 and renewals will be $749.
Reminder: Current Pro users may upgrade to Studio for free if they do so before May 14th. You may purchase up to two years of renewals at the current price, but you must purchase the renewals before you upgrade to Studio and before R2 ships.
Personal users: After R2 ships, the price of Pro will be dropping to $300. So if you are interested in cross-platform, the upgrade price from Personal to Pro will be decreasing by 40%!

The MySQL Plugin for REALbasic
REALbasic 2009 Release 2 will ship on April 14th and with this release we will now officially be supporting MySQL again. This plugin will offer support for the Community Edition (free) of MySQL and the Enterprise Edition (commercial) of MySQL.

Third Party Add-ons: On-Target Reports
On-Target Reports is an application that can help create dynamic reports quickly and easily. On-Target Reports includes:
- Report Assistant: A step-by-step assistant to quickly and easily generate reports from supported data sources.
- Data Grouping: Organize the data within your reports using sub-groups.
- Graphics and Watermarks: Preview and print graphics stored within any supported database; display your company logo, "Confidential" or other useful marks.

- Run-time prompts for data selection.
- REALbasic Runtime Classes: REALbasic developers can use the OTR REALbasic Runtime Classes to preview or print reports from within their application using previously generated templates.
