I am using a MoviePlayer Control but it does not show up in my window even though I have the visibility set to true. I am using the windows version of RB.

I'm guessing that you don't have a movie in the movie player. REALbasic doesn't actually show the control unless it has a movie. I'm not sure why that is, but it is. One workaround is to make a picture of all black, open it as a movie and put it in the movieplayer.

Also if I complie my program and try to run in on a computer w/o quicktime will the movieplayer still play?

Nope. It requires QuickTime.
