How can I go directly to OSX Preview.app bypassing the intermediate step in the OS in the print routine. I was trying to draw to a canvas on a window and call "Preview" but tis is not working the way I wanted,.

In a nutshell, you can't in REALbasic by itself. You can, however, create your own preview window using the data you would be sending to the printer. You could also write a plug-in (or maybe declares) that would alter the OSX built-in print routine that Rb calls. I think that's a bit beyond both you and me though. ;-)

Even Adobe Reader throws a message box in it's Preview button. I never could figure out why as it appears to be a custom window. I guess it's to satisfy people who are used to clicking on a button to show the preview in "Preview.app".

HTH,

Terry
