Matthias, thanks for mentioning this -- it is similar to something I am
going to be doing in the near future -- always good to get advance warning!

No explanation, but I have an SDI app which makes a very strange sound
("digital noise"?) when it quits. I have absolutely no sound functions in
the app, so it must be something to do with the Windows sounds that happen
when you quit/close window/whatever. But it's distorted, and seems to be a
different noise on different machines; definitely not the normal "ding"
sound. I am still trying to track down what's wrong. If you find out
anything on this potentially related item, please post!
