I guess that means I'll try copying the resource fork as well, the movie
wasn't open so perhaps the missing resource fork is why it wouldn't open????
Yes, could be. But to copy files complete with resource fork and
Finder data, you'll need to wrap them in something like BinHex or
AppleSingle (etc.).
