RegEx,REplaceALL and japanese text

HI,


i just discovered that a RB application built for japanese with the 
english version of RB takes cery much longer to process RegEx/Replace 
operations...
this is very significant- while the built for an english system 
processes in  a snap, the japanese built takes almost a minute.
would this be eliminated if using the japanese version of RB for compiling?

or is there something else i am missing?
