There are. ResEdit does (Get File/Folder Info from the File menu, I
think). I know I've run across others as well.
My program also has this problem...it allows users to perform certain
actions on a bunch of files at once, and being able to select folders
to recursively act on the enclosed files is of great importance to me
in this program. Luckily, the workaround you note below works for
me, but still....
A workaround solution would be not to let the user select the
file/folder from a dialog, but rather let them drag&drop the desired
file/folder onto your window or the like. Of course that works only for
some situations.
Exactly. I guess this'll be a good reason to learn how to do a plug-in.
