There are.  ResEdit does (Get File/Folder Info from the File menu, I
think).  I know I've run across others as well.

Sure, but those are not standard dialogs.  I think what Frank was saying
was that there ISN'T a standard dialog for this sort of thing, and that
apps that do it have all rolled their own.

Ah, OK.  I didn't take the word "standard" literally...


Have you looked into Alfred Van Hoek's NavDialog plugin?  I don't really
know much about it, so I don't know that it'll solve the problem, but
it's worth looking into.
