Nope, no-show. In /Volumes/, all I see is "." and "..". Shouldn't at

X-Installation...

No it does not and should not
If you open Terminal whatever your boot volume is shows up at the root

do

cd /

ls

and it's listed there

Volumes is all NON-boot volumes

If all else fails, "Festplatten-Dienstprogramm" (Seriously, that's how "Disk
Utility" is called in German Mac OS X) is your friend...

Well, on mine it's still called "Disk Utility",

The German name appears in the menubar when it is started.
