May I suggest an entry about DefineEncoding. I liked what you said earlier about laying off DefineEncoding. I had suspected as much, but wasn't sure. You might even consider saying in the FAQ exactly what DefineEncoding does (that is creates a new string that is a copy of the old string with the encoding field set to the new encoding) just to drive home the point that it DefineEncoding doesn't convert a string to a new encoding, which is what I some people believe.
