I discovered that it isn't possible anymore to test socket-based
programs like chats and so on on my computer via loopback since I use
RB 5. In earlier versions I just entered the IP "10.0.0.1" or
"127.0.0.1" and I was able to connect to myself.

What's your experience? Would be hard if I couldn't test my apps
anymore without going online...


I've been using the ServerSocket class and have been able to access my app (locally) from a browser using either 127.0.0.1 or "localhost".
