Do you have an expectation that just the filesystem type is the issue
or should we try different protocols as well ?
I have a linux box that is running ext2 that we can access via smb,
afp, and nfs
I have another linux box that is running a journalled filesystem
(forget which one) that we can access via smb and nfs
And I've got at least 3 or 4 Wndows XP/2000 machines that I can try
against
I know we've had issues with the Linux ext2 server via afp, but the
same mount point under nfs and smb is fine so I'm suspecting the
server's implementation of the afp protocol (netatalk) is the issue here

I need your help.
If you have any non-Macintosh (non-HFS) formatted disks that
you can mount on your Mac (e.g.: UFS, DOS, FAT, FAT32, UDF) or
non-AppleShare network volumes (DAVE, PCMACLAN, Helios,
Novell, NFS, etc.), would you please run this code and tell
me if it reports a mismatch? (If it succeeds OK, everything is
fine and you could still report to me which of the non-Mac file
formats you had tested it with.)
