Is there any hopes of being able to write programs in REALbasic that
support CoreMIDI?
Sure, if it can be done from C/C++, it can be done from RB.
I'd like to write a MIDI editor for a piece of gear I have hooked
up to a USB MIDI device.
There are other MIDI users here too -- I'm one, though I haven't yet
updated my MIDI interface from an old serial-port one (what USB
interface do you recommend?), and I believe Mars is too. I bet there
are others as well. So at least you have company. :)
Hi,
I'am using an Emagic AMT8 USB MIDI Device 8 IN/OUT and this works great.
I know of a MIDI Plug-in : DX-MIDI (
http://realvision.cabanis.com/products.php ) that is converted for OS X
Core MIDI but I've never tried this plug-in under OSX and it is still
in BETA
It would be nice if RealSoftware put some MIDI funktions in Realbasic
so we can built simple MIDI apps ourselfs.
