No need to reinvent the wheel.. CodeTeks virtual desktop is mighty
good, and the others are very probably fine too ( I happened to find
CTVD before I saw the others )

I'm impressed. I can't wait for a Linux IDE! Linux has many super-cool
features.
I'm especially impressed with the KDE desktop and the ability to have
multiple virtual desktops.
My challenge for someone is to simulate Linux virtual desktops with a
RB app that runs on Mac OS X. It would be a "Workspace Manager" It
may not be completely doable (full emulation of Linux virtual
desktops) but maybe at least some method of creating groups of
applications and windows that can be managed and organized. This is
far different from different users. It allows the same user to quickly
switch views of windows, files and apps.
For example, I want my Documents folder and the Mail app to be in
Group 1 and Safari app and Music and Pictures folder to be part of
Group 2. With this Workspace Manager I can set this up and they appear
in Workspace Managers Dock menu item as Group1 and Group2 ( or
whatever name is given them). When I select Group 1, only items
assigned to Group 1 are visible. When I select Group 2 only items for
Group 2 are visible. This can be taken further to include files on the
desktop. They can be assigned to Groups also.
If I had the time, I'd do it. Unfortunately, I don't. Someone else go
for it!
