OK. Well, I spoke too soon I guess and said I had the problem solved (I "thought" it was), but I'm back to having a text file dragged into the project window that seems to work fine in the IDE, but doesn't in a compiled app.

Thanks,

When one compiles an app with said text file having been dragged into the project window, as far as I can tell, RB does not include the file in the compiled app, the way it will a picture that was dragged into the project window. Is this correct?

No. It's built into the app exactly like a picture is. (Well, the underlying mechanism is different but the effect is the same.)

And do I then need to include the file, myself, in a bundle?

Nope.
