It appears that there may be a bug related to sending email attachments in RB 5.5.*

The Email Example.rb project only sends through 3k files for me. Text files are fine but any other file type causes problems.

I rather urgently need to send an email attachment from within RB. Does anyone have a 5.5 way of sending email attachments?

Thanks

Jeff

I'd really be most grateful if anyone knows a way of sending email attachments in RB 5.5

Can anyone at RealSoftware assist please?

Or does anyone know of a third-party smtp module which supports attachments which works under RB 5.5 - I think I've tried them all now without any joy.

Thanks

Jeff

Hi all,

With all of the amazing things that RB can do ... I'm surprised that nobody has recommended a way of sending email attachments. Not that I expect the assistance but I just didn't think it would be such a tricky request.

I'm working on a project and my final step is to send an email attachment from within RB. I have spent a couple of days solidly on this now and I need to keep trying until I either come up with a solution or someone says it can't be done - I'm sure it can be done and any assistance would be wonderful.

Cheers

Jeff
