I have just used the builtin classes for sending emails with
attachments for a project I'm working on. I was about to tell you "Hey,
it works for me". I have been sending text based file formats such as
TEXT and PDF. No problem. Once I tried other file formats I began to
recieve 13.5k attachments.
I won't have time to look into for a day or so but seems it may be an
encoding / mime-type or resource fork issue. Just a wild guess.
What kind of files are you attaching?
Do they have resource forks or pure data fork?
