We're getting way OT here, but I must add a note about Joseph's
"rearrange my desktop" comment:
If you are running Panther or that newer, non-discussable version, you
should check out "Desktop Manager" from Rich Wareham. It's FREE and
available from Source Forge (www.sourceforge.net/projects/wsmanager).
It allows you to have multiple desktops available on a single display.
No more moving things out of the way and it's Expose aware.

I'm curious as to why people want this.
I understand why people like TDG (my copy is pretty well worn), and
why
people update books in general.
What I'd like to know is what, specifically, requesters believe they
would
get from a TDG 3rd edition that they're not getting from the 2nd
edition +
various other sources (lists, RS docs, etc.).
Beginner info? Advanced techniques? New feature info? Convenience?
Hardcopy?
Convenience of grabbing a book and not having to rearrange my desktop
and scroll, enlarge type, etc.
More important, is having new information in the same format. It's
great to have all the other sources, but it's even better to have them
written in the same style (assuming it works for you - Matt's writing
style was good for me), same font, etc...
