Unless something has dramatically changed, they have a QA team.

I worked for a company that had a QA team. While formally everything was put in place for QA to work as it should, it just didn't. The team's efforts were continuously frustrated by the company's short term goals. When short term earnings become more important than any long term vision you'll find the ground under your feet eroding away faster than you can say 'Quality Assurance'. When the customers' expectations continuously fail to be met, that's writing on the wall.

Customers can vote with their wallets.

It's interesting to note that a number of people who used RB for a long time have moved to other tools / products for a variety of reasons.
Some remain, again for a variety of reasons.

I have no idea about what metrics REAL tracks about their products.
If the only metric REAL is concerned with is sales of licenses then regardless of whether their tool is being used by new comers, hobbyists, professional software developers or people who are upgrading an existing copy it makes no difference since there would be a steady stream of licenses being sold.

If they track new sales vs upgrade that might show a different trend (just guessing here)

And I'm sure there would be all kinds of other metrics which would give different perspectives on the adoption and usage of REALbasic.

But this would all be speculating on my part.

The best thing you can do is vote with your wallet if your not happy with the new releases. At least the beta's are open so you can see if the new release is worth upgrading to before you spend your money. Or you can take advantage of the 30 day money back guarantee.

Anything else seems fruitless.
