Hi Terry,
I am just finding my way around the Win32 world, don't know about Linux,  so it 
would be difficult for me to explain, as Steve wrote, they are more command 
line oriented.

All is well that ends well, but...

How do these, so called, parameters work on Windows and Linux? There  
are no examples in the LR and a search of the archives provides  
little help either.
