Sorry for answering my own post, but I also expect that you're doing 
this *not* on an Intel Mac, as I believe (but am not sure) that OS 9 
will not install on an Intel Mac.  People have published hacks to do 
this and emulators, but I believe they are not pretty AFAIK.
