I forgot to say, dont mess with RB. RB is not even close to being able what you need. Use the best tool suited for what you need.

RB:
NO 3D unless you cook it yourself for an application in that level.
NO Flash support whatsoever.
NO True do once and deploy many times, you will run in to a block somewhere in the development.

Flash: Multiplatform, you can now deploy on AIR which will allow your clients to have a desktop app if need be.

Version 10 of flash is supposed to have some cool things like true 3D support and p2p.

I am not saying RB is not good, I am just saying that RB is not the tool to use in this one case. Specially because there is NO true X platform flash solution that will work 100% of the time the same way.

Kind regards,

Giovanni

Ah.. I see.

I think they wanted to make a chat app (3D at some point)
and be able to display flash content inside or something like that.

The easiest option here is to use the HTMLViewer control which will support the latest versions of Flash. Quicktime can work for older swf versions, but nothing modern enough to be feasible for a "chat world". And if you need
closer integration with RB from Flash you can just use a socket.

Hi -

Can you display Flash content in Rb ?

If possible what's the minimum version of Rb needed ?

Someone asked me about a chat world and
being able to display flash content.

Thanks
