Bart Silverstrim was quoted as saying
Sorry if I missed it, but is he *certain* that those bugs are
limited entirely to the hackintoshes? Hacked macs have been floating
around awhile, and this is the first someone's brought it up on the
list as a source of crashes?
Not saying it's impossible, just that it may be something to consider.
I completely agree with you, it could well be a problem with my code,
it wouldn't be the first time and nor will it be the last time. Its
just that at the moment I have 4 reports of the same error and they
all come from these fake Macs... Evidence suggests that something
fishy is going on hacked Macs, especially as there is no guarantee
that the hardware is compatible with the software.
The reason why Apple clamped down on the clones was the poor
reliability of them. I worked in a print shop at the time, our boss
bought a whole bunch of motorola jobbies. They all ended up being
returned and replaced with real Apple hardware, they were just too
unreliable.
Have a Great Week :)
