You are making my case for me.

Or as I said: 

2) You buy a Mac (lets say a iMac on eBay). You install Linux on it. You buy
a 8´core PC. You install MacOS X on it. This seems legal in Europe as there
is even a precedence for it: Microsoft tried to prohibit people selling on
their Win licenses when they installed Linux. That was declared illegal in
Europe. From that it follows that it is legal too to install a original Macs
OS on a PC and then upgrade it as you like (or in other words if you have an
original restore disk in addition to your Leo then you are covered).
