Yes, Apple has made it very convenient for legal users and we don't
even notice any of these licensing issues, unlike the Microsoft users
who have to go through activation hell. But the licensing issues are
much the same in any case. Both MS and Apple sell OS upgrades with
roughly the same terms. And MS sells a full install license for more
money, where as Apple only provides their full license with a new
Mac. In effect the Mac itself is Apple's activation key. :-)
