Hi Carlos,

IF you are running in Windows, then VMWare Server is free. VMWare server
will let you create a VMWare machine. Create a small vmware machine running
XP or Windows 2000, and run your older RB in it.

Run your current RB in your windows box or, in another virtual machine.

Do a "Copy" in your VMWare machine while using RB. Go to your Windows
Box (or other virtual machine) and do a "Paste." Your code copies between
the two versions.

VMware copies to the clipboard and copies from the clipboard, so the copy
and paste can now work between versions that are running simultaneously.

Yes, overkill, but useful. The setup at first is difficult. Later you
are glad you did it. You'll find more uses for virtual machines as you go.
(If you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail.) It is rumored that
Microsoft Windows 7 will use this approach for backwards compatibility.

Windows software *many times* will fight other windows software or other
versions of the same software, making it impossible to have 2 versions of
the same program installed. Microsoft (and Microsoft Fans inside RB) tend to
think this is perfectly acceptable behavior. (Apple fans have blind spots
also, just different ones.)

I think it is perfectly good behavior too, as it helps Macintosh sales and
Linux adoption. My reasons therefore differ from Microsoft (and fans)
reasons. However, as Quigley said, "I said I didn't have a use for it. I
didn't say I didn't know how to use it," meaning I'll always write for
Microsoft as long as they have greater than 5% market share.
