thanks for all the input and ideas.

we'll find a way (simulating the old behavior / defining a new format for the purpose mentioned / ...), but every way will be a bit more complicated than the simple Str() that worked fine until now :-)

we're still waiting until we get more information about this change and until we all get to know if this behavior will be kept, adjusted or maybe (who knows?) even reverted.

for sure this all points out one of the many things that needs to be looked at and thought through more closely. it's only too often that some things are just done quickly (e.g. using Str() :-) - and a simple change or 'improvement' in the framework can lead to unexpected effects... ....but finally the 'increased precision' will (or has already) improve our app, and if it's only because it requires to think about certain issues again in more detail ;-)
