I've had this happen when I first open projects in a new release of  
RB. In my experience, the symptoms have been weird video things like a  
sheet of white paper blanks out most of my code wherever I put the  
mouse down, making it impossible to edit property lists or do much of  
anything else.
The solution is to save the project in XML format, then quit RB, then  
start RB again and open the XML version of your project.
