Thom,

I created a new Account and the colors were correct so it is not a hardware problem. While I was troubleshooting the problem (before going to the reinstall options, I did drag the com ..apple.ColorSync.Droplet.plist, ...Calibrator.plist, ...Utility.plist files onto the desktop (it did not correct the problem so they were put back). I have never used the ColorSyncUtility before. How does one play with ColorSync settings?

Post a screenshot somewhere. If we see it normal, we can tell it's a hardware issue. If we see it the same, it could be something else and the screenshot may provide clues. Also, try playing with your ColorSync settings.
