I'd have to check to be 100% sure but I could see why it would be all the time. I've not looked inside the compiler to be absolutely certain of this though so take this with a grain of salt

Norman, if you could check on that, and also about my finding that the Win32 DLLs are roughly 2x the size of the Mac .dylibs, it would be appreciated. Going back to compiling with 2007R5 for this one aspect of my product which needs to be small, is a not-unreasonable possibility.

Introspection data is always there
Plugins use it for the dynamic access APIs, and the framework uses it for things like control initialization on a window
