Hi all,

I need the source code for some simple RealBasic Games suitable for teaching very simple RB techniques and concepts.

I've scoured the web and found quite a few RB games with source but they are either too complex or do not work with the latest RB builds.

These games do not need to be overly fun or graphically sophisticated but the underlying code needs to be simple, easy to follow, well written and able to be used to show a young beginner simple RB concepts. If I find them too complex then it will be too hard to teach them to a young beginner.

For example:

.... a Number Guesser where the computer thinks of a number between 1 and 100 and the user has to guess the number in as few attempts as possible.

.... a noughts and crosses game could be good...simple...and introduce some basic graphics

.... any chance of a super simple asteroids?

.... simple top down driving game

.... one of those 2D tank battles where users take turns firing a missile over the mountain to hit the other user.

(those last 3 could obviously be too sophisticated so I'm not thinking of a completed game in those cases...just a simple usable starting point without scoring, multiple weapons etc.)

.... any other unique, fun, interesting games would be great.

If anyone has any appropriate source which they could provide free it would be appreciated but I would also be prepared to pay for some source (with limited funds) if required.

If you have some free game source please email it through or if you have some source you would like us to buy then please send an app we could test or screenshots and we will certainly consider it - but please remember that we only need simple games with simple source which can be used to teach young beginners.

Thanks

Jeff
