Further testing with my "Bad" project (the one that triggers spurious
"files on disk are changed" warning:
Opened the project.
Resized the project window.
Closed all of the open editor tabs.
Quit IDE and reopened project.
Opened two editor tabs (App -- internal, and cEditField -- external
XML format).
Saved the project.
After these actions, the behavior (as was seen in Test 2, below) no
longer happens. I can switch applications, run the app, and switch
back & forth to the IDE and no longer see the "files on disk are
changed" warning or IDE crashes.
I was getting the error 100% of the time, now, 0%.
To me, this suggests the bug is triggered by something having to do
with the .rbuistate file -- perhaps it depends on a certain
combination of open code editor/window editor tabs?
I have made a zip file containing the .rbvcp file, and a time-machine
backup of the .rbuistate file that caused the bug, along with this
mornings .rbuistate file which does not trigger the bug.
