Hello,

I'm glad I'm not the only seeing this issue. The hang is on the Shell.Close call, which in turn calls the POSIX "close" function. Mode 1 Shells exhibit the same behavior.

I haven't been able to find any workarounds.

Unfortunately, if you MUST call Shell.Close, the answer is to wait for a RB update. However, what if you don't call shell.close and instead simply set the shell to Nil (if you feel you must do your own cleanups?

At this point, I'm planning to create Intel-Only Snow Leopard builds to differentiate the 10.5/10.4 Universal versions from the Snow Leopard versions.
