REAL SQL Server Developer Edition is the exact same application as fully licensed REAL SQL Server Commercial Edition. There are only three differences between the two:

• Maximum connections: Developer Edition supports three simultaneous connections. The Commercial Edition has no connection limit.
• Session time: Developer Edition times out every two hours, requiring the developer to restart the server. The Commercial Edition never times out.
• Licensing: The REAL SQL Server license limits the use of Developer Edition to development only, not production.
